Good progress made on Waste Water Rescue contract
Rescue 2 are working hard on our long term Water industry contract in the South of England.
We have two teams working on the project, which is scheduled to continue into 2018.
The night shift Rescue team of 3 have received excellent feedback from the client. The teams are working non-stop to ensure the flow of work and good progress is being made. The complex Scaffolding is now complete and the maintenance work has now started on the interior walls. This involves high pressure jetting of the concrete to remove all the loose debris.
The daytime Rescue Team has now increased to 4 persons as the contractors have moved into the tank area. A greater level of control is required as extra rescue equipment is being used as more contractors are entering the risk.
The use of the specially designed respiratory protective equipment is proving invaluable as it has allowed the work to continue in gas levels that would normally require the contractors to leave the risk area.
This week also sees the first trainee from the Rescue 2 training academy start with the rescue team in an observational role.
Rescue 2 have also been providing a Face Fit service for contractors working on site. Although we have been providing this service free of charge, the client has agreed to make charity donations to a respiratory charity for every Face Fit, so that has worked out well.
